Gift card Terms and conditions
1. General
These terms and conditions apply to COS Gift Cards purchased via our business partner SVS UK Limited in any of our COS stores or on cos.com ('COS Gift Card' or 'COS e-Gift Card', jointly 'COS Gift Cards') and to our COS Merchandise Cards ('COS Merchandise Card' or 'COS e-Merchandise Card' jointly 'COS Merchandise Cards'). By purchasing COS Gift Cards, or using the COS Merchandise Cards, you accept these terms and conditions ('Terms and Conditions'). COS reserves the right to interpret, modify, or terminate the Terms and Conditions without notice. The most recent Terms and Conditions will always be posted at cos.com.
COS Gift Cards and COS Merchandise Cards may be used in COS stores and online at cos.com in the country where the card was bought or where the COS Merchandise Card was issued. You can use the COS Gift Cards and COS Merchandise Cards to pay for the full value or part of the value of your selected item(s). If your purchase online is not completely covered by COS Gift Cards or COS Merchandise Cards you can use an additional payment method to complete the purchase. Please read more in the Payment section at cos.com. The online purchase receipt will not show the current balance of the COS Gift Cards and COS Merchandise cards used in the transaction. However, all gift cards and merchandise cards can be added to the wallet app on your digital device, where current balance will also be displayed. In addition, you can always check your current balance online at cos.com, in a COS store or by contacting Customer Service.
2. Payment
If you order your COS Gift Cards online, your order and payment will be processed and dispatched by SVS UK Limited, however your credit/debit card statement will show COS.com Gift Card Purchase.
SVS only accepts credit cards as payment for COS Gift Cards. You need to be 18 years or older, in order to pay with a credit card.
3. Delivery
We aim to deliver the COS Gift Card within 3 working days from date of order. COS will not be liable for any failure or delay in delivery. If you purchase a COS e-Gift Card you will have the option of when the chosen recipient will receive an email with their gift card.
You are obligated to provide a correct address for delivery of the COS Gift Card. If you order a COS e-Gift Card you are obligated to provide a correct email address for delivery. If the address you have provided cannot be confirmed COS reserves the right to withhold the delivery of the COS Gift Cards.
4. Validity
Each online purchase of COS Gift Cards is limited to a maximum value of £250. The online minimum value for COS Gift Cards is £15. You can increase the balance of your physical COS Gift Card by purchase of additional credit in any COS store in the country where the card was bought.
COS Gift Cards are valid for 2 years from the date of the last activation or purchase. At the expiry of the validity period, the COS Gift Cards cannot be used for purchase, reactivated nor can the unused remaining value be refunded.
The COS Gift Cards can be used until the balance of the card is zero. If the balance of the card is zero for three months, the COS Gift Card is invalid and cannot be activated or used again.
COS Merchandise Cards are valid for 2 years from the date of the last activation or purchase. At the expiry of the validity period, the COS Merchandise Cards cannot be used for purchase nor can the unused remaining value be refunded.
The COS Merchandise Cards can be used until the balance of the card is zero. If the balance of the card reaches zero, the COS Merchandise Card is invalid and cannot be activated or used again.
COS may cancel this card if it has reasonable grounds to do so.
5. Return
If you paid for your order with two different payment methods, you'll receive a refund on your second payment method first. For example, if you paid for your order with gift card and credit card, we will first refund you on the credit card. If the value of articles you returned exceed the amount paid with credit card, the rest will be refunded in the form of e-gift card. Read more here.
The COS e-Merchandise Card will be sent to you by email when the return is complete. If you return items purchased online to one of our COS Stores, you will be refunded in the same way as if you had returned the items using our online return process, as long as the return is made within the 30-day return period. For any returns made after the expiry of the return period of 30 (thirty) days, we reserve the right to refund you via a e-Merchandise Card.
6. Returns Guarantee
You have a 30 day return period (beginning the day after delivery of your order) to cancel your order of COS Gift Cards purchased online and receive a full refund, including the standard delivery costs, but excluding the cost of returning the card if such costs has been generated.
If you wish to return the COS Gift Cards, please contact Customer Service.
7. Limited Liability
COS cannot be held liable for COS Gift Cards or COS Merchandise Cards once activated, which subsequently are lost, stolen, inactivated or damaged. Treat your COS Gift Cards and COS Merchandise Cards as cash.
8. Privacy Policy
COS Hennes & Mauritz GBC AB, is acting as the party responsible for all personal data that you provide COS with. COS therefore has a Privacy Policy outlining how your personal data will be processed and protected. You will find our Privacy Policy in full here.
