Too much space, too much fabric in the thighs and down area. A trousers can be barrel but not that much bulky, it doew not flatter normal heights and silhouettes.

Despite my markings above, I love these trousers !
They are loose fit (actually very loose fit, apart from the waist) 
However this does not detract from how they look.
They are attractive !
As long as you don't want fitted trousers, you won't be disappointed with these.
