The women’s AW25
Runway collection
Discover the key pieces from the Autumn Winter 2025 runway collection – grounded in uncompromising craft, construction and rigorous attention to detail.
Presented at New York Fashion Week, the Autumn Winter 2025 show was a study in contrast. Darkness and light, strength and softness, striking yet subtle: the runway came to life through unexplored dimensions in dichotomy, celebrating the beauty in contradiction through collection and space.
The collection defined a new vision of everyday luxury through an exploration of exceptional shearling, pony hair and double-faced wool, reimagined heritage checks and a tonal-grey colour palette. It was an experience grounded in the uncompromising craft, construction and rigorous attention to detail synonymous with COS – and proved a quiet statement can be the most powerful.

SHEARLING AND PONY HAIR
Crafted in exquisitely tactile textures, outerwear brought an air of opulence to the season through shearling and pony hair silhouettes. A study in technique, the tempting softness of the shearling was amplified by the enveloping shapes, while the pony-hair leather coat became a richly inviting accent in the contrasting space – distinguishing a new series of alluring wardrobe archetypes.

HOW TO STYLE SHEARLING AND PONY HAIR
Shearling jackets for women appeared in varying lengths – from long and sweeping to shorter silhouettes with a high neck and cropped sleeves. Echo the runway by defining the enveloping shapes with a belt. Underpin the long shearling jacket with an elegant silk top or style the shorter piece with a sophisticated take on leggings. Meanwhile, the pony hair coat takes a streamlined approach with pared-back styling: trainers, a belt and clutch to accentuate the lustre of the refined texture.
CHECKS
The COS Autumn Winter 2025 runway collection explored the idea of contrast through print and scale. Hand-drawn in the London atelier, the reimagined check champions our design handwriting and sets a new pace for heritage style. The lineup presented an elevated approach to modern dressing: a woven maxi skirt artfully gathered for a draping effect, a checked scarf top defined by skilful tailoring and an oversized clutch crafted from tactile crinkled fabric that holds its shape when rolled.

HOW TO STYLE CHECKS
Checks were unveiled as the quintessential autumn print. Take styling cues from the runway and wear checks from head to toe – the interplay of silhouette, texture and scale make for an intriguing combination. Revised cuts and loose silhouettes update a heritage look with a modern feel. Note the scarf-detail blouse styled in the show with a coordinating pencil skirt, or the juxtaposition of the clean lines of a V-neck top tucked into a draped silhouette. Printed accessories – a checked bag or sock boot – invigorate minimal outfits with playful proportions and impeccably honed craft.
GREY TONES
A symphony of grey tones played a purist note in the show’s immersive contrast. Playing with the idea of dichotomy, the seasonless shades were offset by singular details: nonchalantly pooling necklines, free-flowing silhouettes in featherweight materials and plush shearling textures adding dimension to a monochrome moment.

HOW TO STYLE GREY TONES
Women’s eveningwear had a contemporary feel, featuring a softly draped coordinating set and a grey cardigan and airy maxi skirt crafted in barely-there fabrications that created movement on the runway. For an element of surprise, style the sweeping grey maxi skirt with woven sock boots or pointed-toe heels for streamlined sophistication. Play up proportions by pairing the enveloping shearling jacket with close-fitting leggings, rendered in chenille chosen for its structure and softness.
DOUBLE-FACED WOOL
Artfully crafted double-faced wool silhouettes invited a sense of warmth to the COS runway, emerging as key pieces for the season. A fresh alternative to the classic double-breasted wool coat for women, the hero fabrication appeared as an edit of separates: an open-neck coat, scarf-detailed cape, pencil skirt, relaxed dress and dramatic V-neck top.

HOW TO STYLE DOUBLE-FACED WOOL
A mainstay for Autumn Winter 2025, double-faced wool adds a soft layer to the cold-weather wardrobe. The runway styling focused on curating coordinating looks that are equally polished and effortless. The free-flowing cape detailed with a scarf neckline offset the simplicity of a refined pencil skirt, while a belt cinched the waist of the elongated V-neck top, creating a feminine take on winter dressing. For an everyday look, opt for the reimagined wool coat. Cut to a modern length with an elegant open neck, it’s seen worn over classic wool trousers and suede trainers, proposing an enduring city uniform.
