THE COS GUIDE TO PRODUCT CARE

COTTON
Cotton is a breathable natural fibre that regulates heat to help you maintain a comfortable temperature. From crisp poplin to soft jersey, our yarns are thoughtfully chosen – with considered T-shirt weights ranging from featherlight 115gsm to heavier-duty 340gsm.
THE COTTON T-SHIRT
We’ve been perfecting the COS T-shirt since the beginning, selecting premium cotton for its unparalleled softness and comfort. T-shirts can be hand-washed or machine washed at 30°C. Use a mesh bag for delicate items to prevent snagging or twisting during wash cycles and treat any stains before washing with a stain remover. For darker pieces, patch test on an inside seam to check the colour won’t be affected. Hang cotton out to dry, as heat from tumble dryers can cause it to shrink.
THE COTTON SHIRT
An emblematic piece of the COS wardrobe, each shirt is refined and reimagined by our team of expert pattern cutters through superior cuts and attention to detail.
Iron cotton shirts at a medium-high heat and steam, working from the collar, cuffs, sleeves and then the body, while damp. Always iron around the buttons for a crisp finish.
Cotton garments are relatively simple to repair. Small holes can be mended by turning the garment inside out, using a needle and carefully arranging nearby threads to cover the tear. Iron-on fusible interfacing can also disguise damaged fibres.
