The women's SS25
runway collection
Discover the key pieces from the women's Spring Summer 2025 runway collection – a quiet evolution of the COS wardrobe.
Presented at the Dionysossomarble Quarry in Athens, the Spring Summer 2025 runway show conveyed a quiet evolution of the COS wardrobe – understated yet deliberate. Sculpted silhouettes, soft draping and deconstructed tailoring reinterpreted classic pieces through a contemporary lens, while timeless essentials were explored with a rigorous approach to craft, construction and fabric.
The vast and striking natural space echoed the essence of the collection: elevated essentials refined with the use of volume and texture, grounded with a foundation of neutral tones and steel-blue hues. The setting illuminated the tonality and texture of the looks – each one honouring the tradition of hand-drawn sketches, draping on the stand and hand-painted artwork for prints.

PLEATS
Cast in featherweight fabrics, pleats were reimagined on the runway with a new sense of lightness. Playing on the tradition of hand pleating with the idea of fluidity and movement, dresses skimmed the body in barely-there fabrications, with delicate folds adding subtle dimension to free-flowing silhouettes.
HOW TO STYLE PLEATED DRESSES
Pleated dresses appeared in varying lengths – from daringly high hemlines to long, sweeping shapes. Echo the runway and style the pleated mini dress with point-toe pumps – the elongated lines will complement the extended, flared sleeves. Meanwhile, a pleated midi dress takes a casual stance when paired with flat sock boots; wear it with sculptural jewellery to offset the laid-back mood.

SILK
The COS Spring Summer runway show explored a series of soft, deconstructed layers that played with the idea of draping and motion, applied in seasonal textures like fluid silk for a balance of lightness and structure. The lineup was an elevated approach to everyday dressing: a silk blouse artfully gathered at the neck with a cascading asymmetric hem and loose-fitting shorts that flowed out beneath.
HOW TO STYLE SILK TROUSERS
A certified staple for Spring Summer, silk trousers form an easy foundation for the warm-weather wardrobe. Revised cuts and loose shapes update the piece with a contemporary, casual feel – note the cropped, wide-leg silhouettes seen in the show. Style them with a draped silk top for an elegant day-to-night look with a sense of ease.

TRANSITIONAL OVERSHIRTS
The overshirt was unveiled as a key piece on the COS runway, in the form of oversized shapes with a focus on functional details. A fresh alternative to the spring-to-summer trench coat, the women’s overshirt has cemented itself as a transitional wardrobe hero for SS25 thanks to its light fabrications and roomy construction – features that lend themselves well to between-season layering.
HOW TO STYLE AN OVERSHIRT
Take a styling cue from the show and wear an overshirt as part of a coordinating set for a daytime look that’s effortless but equally polished. A crisp cotton-poplin style with a zipped funnel neck puts a modern spin on utilitarian dressing – matching knee-length shorts and transparent flats maximise the nonchalant mood. For a luxurious take, opt for a version reimagined in supple suede, as featured in the show in a deep-steel hue. Worn over barely-there shorts with a slouchy tote and point-toe mules, the look proposed a new summer-in-the-city uniform.

TWIN SETS
The COS SS25 runway revealed a modern take on the twin-set cardigan, presenting subtly sculpted knitwear that was artfully draped around the shoulders and twisted at the waist, forming a harmonious balance between structure and softness.
HOW TO STYLE TWIN SETS
Twin-set knitwear took a contemporary spin, featuring layered, asymmetric cardigans in neutral tones and deep-navy hues. For an element of surprise, style the classic knitted twin set with micro ribbed-knit shorts and sneakers for a nonchalant mood, or with coordinating bloomers and flats for a fresh take on tonal dressing, as seen at the COS Spring Summer 2025 show.
